We examine political, economic, social, religious, geographic, scientific, and cultural factors that impact our lives, past and present. There are many service clubs and organizations that are Social Studies related and we encourage you to look into them. We hope that the information on this website will help you in meeting your Social Studies needs here at Southwest Miami High. I welcome you to my Web Page. It was created with my students in mind. I am committed in making their learning process meaningful and enjoyable. "A little bit about myself" After 20 years in the financial sector of two Fortune 500 companies, and after the tragic events of 9/11, I decided to pursue a career change. Teaching has given me immense personal satisfaction, and the moral compass that guides my life. I love teaching high school, and I am thrilled to be teaching at SOUTHWEST MIAMI HIGH SCHOOL, one of the finest high schools in Dade County. I am blessed to have wonderful and caring students, colleagues and administrators. I live in South Miami; enjoy reading, watching movies, practicing Yoga, walking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I love college football and the NBA, particularly the Miami Hurricanes and the Miami Heat (click below for 2006 Championship Powerpoint Presentation).
