Brigette Muennich

It is not so much what is poured into the student, but what is planted that really counts.

Brigette Muennich earned her BS at Eastern Kentucky University where she graduated as Outstanding Child Development graduate. She served on the Early Childhood curriculum committee with University faculty and assisted student teachers through the program.

Brigette has been teaching in early childhood for about 15 years. She prefers the little guys due to their excitement for learning and their innocent ways of thinking. She feels that she has the most fun age to teach at St Francis. Everything is very hands-on. She appreciates the low ratio so she may get to know each child well. Having been director of an Indianapolis preschool, she feels blessed to have returned into the classroom here at St Francis.

Brigette is invloved with the Greater Louisville Kentucky Association for Gifted Education. She directs our two successful summer camp programs here on campus. In her spare time she also teaches various ages at the Louisville Zoo. Her favorite animals to work with at the zoo include the raptor birds.

As you will probably see within her teaching, she has a love and deep appreciation of nature. You can often find Brigette hiking, running, or rock climbing. Being aware of the environment and knowing your role in it, is something she tries to instill in her own children by allowing them to experience what many children currently lack: outdoor adventures. Giving to and respecting nature can only come back to you ten-fold.

Brigette resides in Prospect with her two children, Kyle (6th grade) and Molly (2nd grade). Both attend St. Francis. Other residents include Keenya (Siberian husky), Uncle Sam and Tulip (guinea pigs), and Baby and Tiger (Bearded dragon lizards).

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The great teacher demonstrates. The superior teacher inspires.  William Ward
