Amy Kern

Amy Kern is a Kentucky native who spent her high school years in Louisville.  She graduated from The Kentucky Country Day School.  She then spent four years in Rhode Island at Providence College, graduating with a B.A. in elementary education and special education.  She came back to Louisville to start her teaching career.  She spent one year at the DePaul School, a school that specializes in children with dyslexia.  The following year she started teaching at St. Francis.  She was a lead teacher for the First and Second Grade for eight years.  She then stopped teaching to spend time with her family, and found that she could not stay away from St. Francis.  She has returned to teach First and Second Grade language arts.  Amy and her husband David live in Crescent Hill with three children, Bella, Liam and Noah.
