Veteran's Day Program

Our Veteran's Day Program began with the Presentation of Colors by the local V.F.W. members. The students stood for the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lace Chorus sang The Star Spangled Banner and another song to honor Veterans.
Mr. Casey recognized our guests, Alderman John Poteraske and Honoree Captain Matthew A Goodwin. Captain Goodwin is an alumni of District #61 and it was a privilege to have him as our guest. He spoke about his call to duty and honoring all Veterans past and present. The Lace Student Council President presented our guest with awards, Mrs. Behegan sang God Bless America, Mr. Bonanotte played Taps, and the V.F.W. members retired the Colors.
We would like to thank all those who took part in today's program, and Miss Misiora for her patriotic decorations. All Lace students will be given a small flag to place in front of our school to acknowledge our thanks to our servicemen and women.
