The "I Set the Standard Award" is an honor given to several students from each grade during our school assemblies. Students receive a shirt and recognition for setting the standard. Below are characteristics of students that have received this award in the past. - Have the courage to do the right thing.
- Be honest.
- Treat others with respect.
- Considerate of the feelings of others.
- Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements.
- Persevere and keep trying.
- Show compassion and care to others.
- Help people in need.
- Take turns and share.
- Always do your best.
- Use self control.
- Follow school rules.
I hope this helps to clarify what students should strive for to earn an "I Set the Standard Award" but also what they should strive for to build good character.
