I Set The Standard I Set The Standard

The "I Set the Standard Award" is an honor given to several students from each grade during our school assemblies. Students receive a shirt and recognition for setting the standard. Below are characteristics of students that have received this award in the past.

  • Have the courage to do the right thing.
  • Be honest.
  • Treat others with respect.
  • Considerate of the feelings of others.
  • Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements.
  • Persevere and keep trying.
  • Show compassion and care to others.
  • Help people in need.
  • Take turns and share.
  • Always do your best.
  • Use self control.
  • Follow school rules.

I hope this helps to clarify what students should strive for to earn an "I Set the Standard Award" but also what they should strive for to build good character.
