Important Dates for week of 11/9/09

 There is a great website that you can type in the title of a book without logging in to see if there is an Accelerated Reader quiz for that particular book. The website is www.arbookfind.com . Check it out!

TUESDAY - WEDNESDAY- Mass - 8:30                                                                               

                          Please wear tennis shoes for P.E. class

Week of 11/9

Religion -The students will begin our chapter on Saints.  Our first saint will beSaint Nicholas.

Language Arts -This week in Language Arts, we will have 10 new spelling and 9 new vocabulary words. We are also learning the sound of /or/, /ore/ in words such as more and fork. Our story this week is Try Your Best.

Printing - We will have an assessment over Ss, Bb, and Pp in printing.

 Math-  In Math, we are continuing Chapter 24, Telling Time. We will also continue working with addition concepts in Math. I have sent home addition with 2 with your child. Study addition with 2 this week.  Our timed tests have 20 problems, and the students have 80 seconds to complete the problems.

 Social Studies- We will begin to learn about past and present.  We will be using the Pilgrim/Indian story.
