Important Dates for week of 11/2/09

 There is a great website that you can type in the title of a book without logging in to see if there is an Accelerated Reader quiz for that particular book. The website is www.arbookfind.com . Check it out!

MONDAY - Art Class - Please remember your paint shirt.   

TUESDAY - WEDNESDAY- Mass - 8:30                                                                               

                          Please wear tennis shoes for P.E. class

Week of 11/2

Religion -The students will begin Chapter 7. Everything has a purpose.  God made us to be loving and holy people.  We will learn God's Law of Love:  Love God.  Love others as you love yourself.   The students will also read about the life of St. Elizabeth, the first American born saint.

Language Arts -This week in Language Arts, we will have 10 new spelling and 8 new vocabulary words. We are also learning the sound of ng in words such as hang and sing. Our story this week is .

Printing - We will have an assessment over Gg, Jj, and Qq in printing.

 Math-  In Math, we are continuing Chapter 24, Telling Time. We will also continue working with addition concepts in Math. I have sent home addition with 2 with your child. Study addition with 2 this week.  Our timed tests have 20 problems, and the students have 80 seconds to complete the problems.

 Social Studies- We will continue to learn the 4 basic directions.
