Ms. McCormick's Class   1-H

We have had a lot of children in and out with colds, coughs, and flu-like symptoms. Please remind your children to cover their mouths when they cough and sneeze-preferably with their sleeves or into their shoulders. That way they won't spread germs. If your child has had fever, diarrhea, or vomiting within the last 24 hours keep them home.

Also, please be aware of the weather. Our lowcountry weather changes daily and you need to be aware of the conditions. We are having children come to school in shorts when the temperature is in the 50's and low 60's! Please get your child a poncho to stay dry as we walk back and forth several times a day and there are not covered walkways to the "island". With the cooler temperatures, your child does not need to be sitting wet and cold all day. The nurse does not have raincoats or ponchos. You can find them at WalMart or the Dollar Store for a very low price.

Thanks for helping me keep your child well and dry so that they can focus on their learning.
