This is an awesome, free service from the Broward County library. eTutor provides free online homework help through live chat with a certified tutor from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Broward eTutor also offers practice tests available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The service is available to anyone with a Broward County library card.

The Brain Power Club can no longer accommodate siblings. We do not have the space, materials or permission to have these additional students.

You can now order books from scholastic online. When you look for these books, you can find out the AR levels of the book. They will be shipped to the school and are your child's to keep. Our class gets credits to order free books whenever you place an online order! Click on the Scholastic Letter for Parents on the bottom of this page. (This letter will also be in the Friday Folders. This program is only available if you order the books for your child online.)

We understand that illness happens. This year we are on a very tight schedule during our day. If at all possible, please be sure that your child is in school. Making up work will be difficult for the children and we do not want to stress them any more than necessary. Thank you for your help with this! :)

This year it will be more important than ever for your child to have access to a computer at home. If you do not have one, you might consider buying one. If you are unable to purchase one, make sure your child will be able to get to the library or another location where they can use one. Everything for our new math series will be located on line (some things will be in print also), as well as three different internet programs that can help your child understand the concepts better.

Please click on the link for "free rice" below and play the vocabulary game. For every answer you get right, 20 grains of rice are donated to feed the hungry. When you play, please take a screen shot each time to show how many grains of rice you earned. Then email the screen shot to me through gaggle mail. I will keep a total on this page of how much rice our class has donated! Your family and friends can play too - email the site to EVERYONE you know!
