Welcome to Ms. Haines Home Page WE NEED YOUR HELP Students from Watchung Hills have been competing in a state wide competition called the Envirothon. This program is now at risk. Because of the current budget crisis in NJ the governor is proposing major budget cuts to the NJ Department of Agriculture. Since Conservation Education is not a core function of the Department, one of the programs to be cut will be the Envirothon program. We are seeking your support in contacting both Governor Corzine and the members of the NJ Legislature to support the NJDA budget and the continuation of the Envirothon program. I have attached to this e-mail, a draft letter for your use and consideration. Feel free to modify the letter. Legislators are more apt to respond to individual letters rather than form letter. We thank you for your support. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or require any assistance. Scroll to bottom of page for form letter.
