In order to help students learn in a productive learning environment, certain class rules have been established. Students and their parent/guardian(s) are expected to be familiar with the class rules.
1. Students/staff will treat each other and the school environment with respect. Profanity is not allowed. Verbal remarks, “put downs”, or any type of sexual harassment will not be tolerated.
2. Students will come to class prepared for the lesson
3. Students will listen carefully to and follow all instructions.
4. Students will work to the best of their ability in each class.
5. Students must come to class on time.
6. Students must raise their hands and wait to be called on by the teacher before talking in class.
7. Students will pay attention and not cause distractions.
8. Students will quietly do their own work.
9. If your teacher is absent, you are expected to behave as though the teacher were still in the room.
10. If we have a visitor, you are expected to use your best manners.
11. Do not sit at the teacher’s desk or touch anything on the desk.
12. Do not touch other people’s belongings.
13. Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings-otherwise you are tardy and must sign in the late book.
14. Make-up work due to absence is your responsibility.
15. Arrange to come promptly and take missed tests.
Cheating in any form will not be tolerated. Cheaters will receive an automatic zero on the test or assignment.
Grading Policy
Your grades are a reflection of your work and effort. You should take pride in your work and always work to your potential. Your grade will be calculated using the following break down:
Tests and Major projects 40%
Quizzes 15%
Homework/Classwork 20%
Lab work 20%
Classroom Behavior/Participation 5%
