Field Trips

     Note re: field trips for Kindergarten

FYI - Our 2 Kindergarten classes have gone on numerous field trips over the past few years.  Some locations were as follows:

Stokoe Farm in Scottsville (pumpkin patch)

RPO Tiny Tots concert

Christmas caroling at various retirement homes

Strong Museum

Springdale Farm

Seneca Park Zoo

Rochester International Airport

Parents are welcome to join us on almost all trips.  On occasion we are limited to the number of additional people we can take, depending on the location and the event.  We are unable to accommodate younger siblings for insurance reasons.  (Please refer to the parent handbook for details re: this issue.)  We use Webster Central School buses for some trips.  For others, we need parents to help us transport the children.  If you wish to transport any children (other than your own child) on ANY trip, you must have the required insurance coverage as well as have taken CASE (Creating A Safe Environment) workshop.  (The insurance form must be filled out every year, due to the fact that information re: coverage, expiration dates, etc. changes.)  These details are outlined in the parent handbook, on the main page of our school's web site and on the diocesan web site (www.dor.org).  If you call your parish office, they should also be able to inform you of upcoming workshops.  Workshops are set during various dates throughout the year at both St. Rita and Holy Trinity, as well as other Catholic schools/churches.  Please check the calendar on our school's web site or the diocesan web site.  The CASE is extremely important for all parents/guardians.  Information re: this will be sent home at the beginning of the school year, but availability of the course may be limited. Inquire ASAP re: CASE so that you may join us on all of our fun excursions!
