Pre-K4 is in session on Friday, 11.20.09 for both AM & PM.  We'll see you then!

Kudos to You...

Thank you to all  for making my birthday so spectacular.  I adore all of my cards and have them displayed in my home office.  I'll love ordering something new toys for our classroom with my gift certificates.  I'll also greatly enjoy ordering a yummy treat from Starbucks that I can drink out of my new mug and enjoy with with all of my decadent chocolates.  How blessed I am by you!

Yummy in My Tummy!

On 11.16 & 11.30 we'll read two more of Laura Numeroff's famous books.  We'll delight in learning about what happens  If You Give a Cat a Cupcake and what happens If You Give a Moose a Muffin.  (Please see the Curriculum page and subpages for specific details).

Thanksgiving

The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest all is gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway ...
Thanksgiving comes again!

Our new unit is "Giving Thanks for all that God Has Given Us".  From 11.18-11.23 we'll be focusing on all of the blessings we have in our lives and how blessings come in many shapes and forms.  We'll learn  a bit about the first Thanksgiving in America as we focus on the concept of gratitude.

We will also have some fun learning about all of the food we enjoy this time of year.  We'll discuss our families' preparations for Thanksgiving dinners.  We'll try our hand at play-preparing some customary Thanksgiving foods as we'll be  play-cooking in Pre-K4- yum!  It should be a joyful time as sit back, relax and celebrate the beauty of this season.

If you have any plastic turkey basters, gravy boats, ladles or cooking pans, we would love to borrow them.  Please be sure to label them before sending them in, as they will be returned.

There's Frost on the Pumpkin.......

Hat and mitten weather have arrived!  To assure that your child will be dressed properly for playground play, please be sure to stuff your child's hat in one coat sleeve and mittens in the other coat sleeve at drop-off.  We will not be looking in bags for hats and mittens, so please be sure they are LABELED and in the sleeves.

Getting dressed to go outside is a busy and time-consuming process.  We appreciate your help!
