Classroom Expectations

 

All students are expected to behave in a way that does not create a problem for himself/herself, other students, and teachers.

 

Each student will..

  1. keep hands, feet, and other objects to himself/herself,
  2. be on time and prepared for class (this includes homework and supplies),
  3. use appropriate language for school,
  4. take turns and be polite to all students, teachers, and visitors,
  5. follow all directions given by adults.

 

Consequences

Students who do not follow these expectations, including not turning in assignments on time, may earn consequences such as:

  • lose of privileges like eating outside,
  • restricted recess,
  • student and teacher conference,
  • after-school detention,
  • Saturday school,
  • discipline referral

 

Citizenship Grade:

Repeatedly not meeting these expectations and severe behavior will earn "signs" on his/her discipline sheet to show when these expectations have not been followed.  Each Tuesday, the student will take home his/her discipline sheet in the Tuesday Folder for the parents to review and sign.

 

Signs = Grade per 6 Weeks

0 = 100

1 - 2 = 95

3 - 5 = 85

6 - 8 = 75

9 - up = 64

Office Referral may = 10 pt. drop in grade

Late assignments = 5 pt. drop in grade
