My Home Page » Theatre IV
Theatre IV is for the student planning on majoring in Theatre Arts or Theatre Education. This is an intense course that demands leadership skills, focus and participation. Students are placed in Theatre I/II classes with the idea that they will direct and teach the newer students. Theatre IV students direct the Winter One acts and help with in class instruction. Theatre IV students are required to be actively involved in all Theatre Department activities and productions. All students are required to participate in Nevada State Thespian events. Theatre IV students also direct the Student Directed One-Acts and Winter One Acts and are solely responsible for all production aspects. Theatre IV students are required to participate in all CHS productions in a capacity that the Theatre Director deems best. This includes actor, technician or both. Grades are weighed heavily on overall participation in productions and completion of assignments. All students taking a theatre course perform 3 times during the year for a live audience during the Winter One Acts (December), Broadway Memories (March), and Theatre Awards Nights (May). All Theatre students are required to see all Coronado Theatre productions and write a 1 page review. Please see Theatre Handbook for more details. There is a $20 course fee. ***Below is a link to Theatre IV assignments and guidelines. Please be aware that these are subject to change and adjustment.
