Team and Classroom News

We'll post team news here!  We have a phenomenal team of teachers and always love our students so much. It will be a fun-filled year--- where the students learn a lot, but have a lot of fun along the way!

SIXTH GRADE OPEN HOUSES:
Choose the time that works best for you, but those of you who can attend the session during the day, it would alleviate some of the overcrowding in the evening.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 14th....   2:00 - 3:30 PM    OR     5:00-6:30 PM

Once school begins, TRY TO DO THESE TWO THINGS...  Check our websites weekly for weekly listings of class assignments, and be sure to sign up for our email group!  These two things will make the year go so wonderfully!

1.  E-mail group:  Email me, Mrs. Blackwell, at blackwellk@mustangps.org
I'll sign you up, and I'll be your contact for email news about ALL YOUR CHILD'S CLASS NEWS!  I'll email you about once a month with the big news going on in all classes and on our team... helping you stay informed about things such as field trip info, big tests or project due dates, T-shirt sales or whatever pops up throughout the year in case your child forgets to tell you.

2.  Check our postings of WEEKLY ASSIGNMENTS on all our class websites!  You can view assignments for the week in each class.  It will give you the springboard to discuss school with your child and will help you ensure they turn everything in.  In most classes, if an assignment is made, it isn't due until the following day so you can ask for your child to bring their notebook home each night to see if things are complete and ready to turn in the next day.  It's a great way to help your child form good habits and get off to a great start.

We're here to help.  Please don't hesitate to call or email at any time!  We can't wait to get to know your child!  I promise to make this a wonderful year for your child.

Love,

Mrs. Blackwell
