Grade 5 Events

2011-2012 Calendar Year

1. Cultural Day - Friday, January 20th  -  Front half of the Parish Center 12:30-2:30.  Students will receive directions on January 4th, both orally and on paper.  A time line will be included to help with time management.  You may contact your child's homeroom teacher with any questions.

2.Living History Museum - Thursday, March 8th - Front half of the Parish Center - 8:30 - 2:30.  Each class will be assigned a time slot for this event.   Directions for this project will be given out by February 10th. You may see Mrs. Behm with any questions.

3. Science Fair -  Friday, May 29th -  To be held in each students homeroom.  Directions and due dates will be handed out Thursday, April 27th. please direct any Science Fair questions to Mr. Sullivan.

5.  D.A.R.E. Graduation - Tuesday, June12th. We will begin with a pre-graduation picnic on school grounds starting at 11:30 and the graduation ceremony will be held at 1:30 in the Parish Center.  The D.A.R.E. program is run by Colonie Police Officer Sean McGee and begins shortly after February break.  Please direct any questions to your child's homeroom teacher.

6. D.A.R.E. Picnic - To be held at the Crossings of Colonie on Thursday, June 14th from 11:00 to 1:30.  Students will be treated to pizza compliments of the Colonie Police Department and a K-9 Police Dog demonstration.  Permission slips to follow in June.
