Week of November 23rd - November 27th.

*We are following Chick-fil-A's "Core Essential" program. This program discusses positive character traits and rewards your child for displaying them.  Mrs. Ginnis has provided your child with a card describing this month's trait: Cooperation.  We have also sent home a sheet discussing Cooperation and ways in which this trait can be displayed at home and at school.  When possible, please discuss this with your child. 

Tuesday night we will be holding Parent/Teacher Conferences

Math

On Monday we will complete the Chapter 4 Take Home Test.  Tuesday we will have the test over Chapter 4.  There will be no SS math this week.

Reading/Writing

On Monday we will be working on some Thanksgiving Day themed worksheets.  The students will be working with cause and effect, inferencing, following directions and problem solving.  Tuesday we will be watching a movie.  There wil be no SS Grammar this week.

Spelling

There is no spelling this week!

On Wednesdays we will have the practice spelling test.  If the students receive a 100% on the "practice" test, they will not have to take the test on Friday.  The "real" test will be on Friday.

Science

This week we will be discussing the role water vapor plays in making weather.

We will also review the water cycle.
