Hello, all!!! It's been awhile since I last posted a new blog entry. I'm so glad so many people have commented, even though I'm not blogging! :) So, how are we liking the butterflies so far? The larva are fun to watch, eating away at the plants. I sure hope they form their chrysalises soon; we might run out of radish leaves! Would anyone like to guess how many butterflies we will have? Who ever comes the closest will get a special treat!! Start guessing away! ~Mrs. Thatcher :)

So, we're coming off of a long three day weekend. I love having extra time to spend at home with friends and family. What did you do over your long weekend? Well, enjoy it while it lasts, because our next break doesn't come until Thanksgiving! :) See ya in the morning! ~Mrs. Thatcher :)

Whew! We made it through the first nine weeks. Can you believe it's over already? One down, three more to go! Now we all have some time off to rest. So do you have any plans for this Fall Break? Are you going out of town? Are you spending some time at a friend's house? Are you going to stay home and play video games? Maybe you're going to sleep the whole time. Wasn't looking at the WOWbug under the microscope fun? Next week, we'll pull the microscopes back out and look at the blackworm. Soon, we'll look at pond water with all of its microorganisms floating around! Is there something you would like to see under the microscope? We're about half-way through the first 9 weeks! Can you believe it? With our first test down, we are well on our way to pulling out those microscopes and putting them to good use. Is there something that you would like to look at under the microscope this year? Maybe you have some slides at home that you want to bring and share with the class. Well, our summer is winding down. I'm ready to head home after a wonderful 3 week vacation. I'm excited to start a new year. So many new things are coming our way.
