Welcome to 7th grade Math! 
Week of 5/7/12
****All students will be taking placement tests on Tuesday, May 15 during their math class.*****
Pentagons:
We are finishing up Chapter 10, which deals with Squares and square roots. We will be having a test on Thursday 5/10 over the material. We will start chapter 11 after we review the necessary information from Chapter 10. Chapter 11 deals with different funtions of triangles.
Triangles:
We will cover lessons 78-83 this week in class. Our lessons are getting more difficult. Homework should be taking a little longer with more work involved. Please remember to show all of your work. Problems that do not have work, will be considered incomplete. **Take home tests are due on 5/9.**
Octagons: This week we will be covering area and circumference of circles, and finding percents using ratio boxes. The students will be completing a project in class that will count as a test grade. Our lessons are getting more difficult. Homework should be taking a little longer with more work involved. Please remember to show all of your work. Problems that do not have work, will be considered incomplete.
I am really happy with progress we are making and with the positive attitudes I am seeing in all classes! Continue the great work!
