Hello St. Louis School Families

I am the new Technology Teacher for 2008-2009

Mrs. Leonor Rivera  

Here is some information about me. I look forward to meeting you and your children.

Education:   

Cornell University B.S. Electrical Engineering 1984

Cornell Management Certificate 1989

Cornell/Hughes Foundation Summer Science Workshop 2006.

 

Experience Prior to Teaching at SLS:

6 years at St. John of Rochester School, Fairport, NY

18 years combined Computer Industry Experience with:

- Hewlett-Packard

- Sun Microsystems

- Silicon Graphics Computer Systems

 

The 2008-2009 School Year is Mrs. Rivera’s 1st year at SLS teaching grades K-6.

Over the years Mrs. Rivera has presented to children of all ages through the following programs:       

-Rochester Museum and Science Center:  Science Saturday Programs- “Movies, Magic & More” (movie special effects).

-American Red Cross:  Youth Career Program

-Nazareth College:Expanding Horizons Science&Math          

-Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers- RIT Chapter

-Math, Engineering & Science for Hispanic H.S. Students

-Hugh O’Brien Foundation for Youth at Strong Museum

-St. John Fisher College:  Science Exploration Days

-Xerox:  Bring Your Daughter to Work Day Speaker

-School of the Arts High School: Computer Graphics Careers

-Career Exploration Presentations to elementary, high schools and colleges across New York State.
