Dust Bowl Scrapbook Dust Bowl Scrapbook

Use the links below to prepare your scrapbook about life in the Dust Bowl during the 1930s.  You will be using Microsoft Publisher to create your scrapbook.  You will need to include pictures in your scrapbook.  It must answer the following questions: 

  • What was the Dust Bowl?
  • How did it happen?
  • How did it impact the farmers on the Plains?
  • Describe living conditions in the Dust Bowl.
  • How did farmers attempt to cope with living conditions?
  • How did the government attempt to help the farmers? 
  • What was the long-term impact of the Dust Bowl on the Plains?

Be sure to include bibliographic information for all sources used, including photos and text sources.  The text you use should be your own, not copied and pasted from a website.
