Due to many parents requests, we would love for you to give a "gift" to the classroom on your child's birthday, instead of giving out sugary treats. A great idea for a classroom birthday gift is a wrapped book that your child will open and present to the class on their birthday. This is less expensive for you, better for the bodies of your children, and is something that many, many Room 17 students will enjoy.
To make your child's birthday special we will give them a birthday crown and sing to them on their special day.
We discourage sugary treats for the students. In the event that you decide to bring these sweets, please bring them to school at 2:55 so the kids can enjoy them at home :-)
