Study notes and quiz your neighbor on vocab terms.

Turn in Newton’s 3rd Law: The Action/Reaction Law WS.

Pass back papers and calculate grades.

Begin reading/highlighting Alfred Wegener packet.

Daily Mission

Pop Quiz on Latin/Greek root words form Intro to Environmental Science class notes and vocab assignment.

Students will work on Water Bottle Rocket Diagrams. Review the physics that propel WBRs into the air, discuss KE and PE changes during rocket flight, and  introduce apogee and perigee (compare to aphelion and perihelion from last year).

Review the three main areas of evidence that Wegener used to support his theory of Continental Drift: landforms, fossil evidence, and climate evidence. Discuss characteristics of a well-organized essay and encourage students to examine their own essays on Evidence for Continental Drift, looking for how their essays could be improved.
