Email is my preferred method of communication. It does not disrupt class time, it provides instant documentation, and I can respond quietly and privately during class if time allows. It also allows me to research your question and provide a detailed response if necessary.
If contacting me by phone, please be aware that I do not answer the classroom phone during the academic day. Phone calls made or received during class time disrupt labs and lessons in which every precious minute counts. In addition, instructional time belongs to ALL of the students in the classroom, and one cannot carry on a private conversation with 20 pairs of curious ears!
Please be assured that I take your concerns seriously and will respond as quickly as I can. Due to the after-school program and other duties, I may be unable to respond to every phone call or email that I receive in a typical day. If you feel your message has been overlooked or my response is overdue, please do not hesitate to call or send an additional reminder.
I am usually at school until 5:30 pm, if not later. If you need to meet with me in person, I am almost always available after school with or without an appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Students are free to meet with me with or without an appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
