Unit 7 : Patterns and Rules

Unit 7 concentrates on three themes: number patterns, computation, and data analysis. Number patterns are explored to reinforce numeration skills and develop readiness for multiplication and division; computational skills are extended to addition of several 1- and 2-digit numbers and subtraction of 2-digit numbers from multiples of 10; and applications of mathematics involving the collection, representation, and interpretation of real-life data are investigated.
