MY HOMEWORK |
|
Practice is the best way to develop your math skills, and doing the assigned homework will give you that opportunity. Homework is assigned daily, with very few exceptions. Homework is due the following class. Homework will be collected and graded (refer to your class Syllabus). Late homework will only be accepted from students that had an excused absence. Homework assignments for each day can be found in the Chapter Pacing Guides under My Assignments.
Doing Homework Effectively Homework is graded based on your effort - sometimes your answers may not be correct. However, since some of the problems assigned for homework have solutions, you should be able to know whether you are solving the homework correctly or not. If you are not getting the correct answer, look at the examples I did in class or the ones in your book: try to find out what you are doing wrong. If you still cannot figure out how to do the problem, tell me the next day in class. Do your homework in an environment without distractions. Do not "get stuck" on a problem that is taking you too much time: make a mark and move to the next one. You should spend a maximum of 30 minutes daily doing your Math homework. Doing your Math homework with others is a good thing, provided that you remember that letting somebody copy your homework is not really helping him.
