Spirit Brigade

This will be an exciting year for you as you participate in the Shrine Spirit Brigade.  Because you are the oldest students in the school, you will be asked to help out in many different ways. 

Room 202 did a great job with the first month of Safety Patrol on the corners around Shrine School.  The patrol  members were punctual and responsible.  They wore their belts proudly and came and left school without too much disruption.  Thank you for giving of yourself - as you worked to help the younger children at Shrine feel safe.

Room 201 did a fantastic job in September with the school wide recycling program.  They walked through the halls every Wednesday and efficiently and quietly collected all the recycled items from the lounge and classrooms.  Soon the recycling bin was overflowing!  Think of how we have improved our earth by reducing litter and saving trees!

The Spirit Brigade also assists teachers and students in many other ways.  Sometimes we may be called upon to help out with Open Houses, give a teacher a helping hand, visit patients at Beaumont Hospital, or sing carols at Christmas time.  Your 6th grade teachers look forward to organizing Spirit Brigade activities and giving every student a chance to help out!!  Look for the signs posted on the Spirit Brigade bulletin board for details about October's schedules.
