Student Council

November 2009

We have kicked off our annual food drive in conjunction with Builders Club.  We will be collecting food from November 6-16th during fourth hour classes.  As the drive ends we will work to collect the food from classes and prepare it for delivery.

August 2009

Student Council is an extra-curricular activity for students to participate in.  Through student council, students are given an opportunity to share their own ideas, interests, and concerns with their peers, teachers, and principals.  They often participate in raising funds for school-wide activities including social events and community projects. They are given an opportunity to voice an opinion and help formulate solutions to various school issues and concerns.  We will have a student body president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.  Also, each grade will choose representatives that report issues back to the students in their hall. Besides elected positions, all interested students will be allowed to participate. We hope this experience serves to engage students in learning about democracy and building strong leadership skills.  Your sponsors this year are Mrs. Berry and Mr. Collins.
