6th Grade Academic Team

10-25-08  Those who were listed as numbers 11-20 on my door will practice Monday the 27th after school to compete for the remaining slots!

10-10-08  The first cut has been made from tryouts.  If your name was posted on my door you have made it to the next round. Names that were highlighted will try out Monday October 13 after school in Mrs. Berry's room until 4:00 p.m.  Names only in red and not highlighted will practice after school Tuesday in Mrs. Berry's room until 4:00 p.m.  Good Luck!

9-18-08  We will have our first set of tryouts on Monday the 29th. We will meet after school in my room (A-109). Parents need to be here to pick you up at 4:15.  If you make the team, our practices will be held on Mondays after school. I just wanted to let everyone know in advance because due to other scheduling issues, that is the day we have to practice so make sure that schedule is ok for you. 

 9-05-08     The sixth grade academic team is an academic bowl team.  The competition is designed sort of like Jeopardy!!  We have buzzers to answer questions and the questions cover all categories.  Tryouts will be held in late September.  We travel to other schools to compete in the district, regional, and area tournaments.  More information will come as we get closer to tryouts!!
