Part of the fourth graders experience will to to learn many new words. To enrich students vocabulary, we are using a wonderful program called Wordly Wise. Every two weeks, the students will be starting a new lesson that consists of 15 advanced vocabulary words. They will use these words in a variety of short assignments throughout the two weeks. The goal is for students to not only begin to understand their meaning, but be able to identify them in their reading and use them in their writing!!

Below are some PowerPoints I have put together for each lesson. The PowerPoint resembles the classic T.V. game show, Jeopardy. Please spend some time and play them as a review tool before the test. Play as a family or all by yourself!! Challenge yourselves to extending your vocabulary!!

I have also included a link to the official Wordly Wise website, where you can listen to a narrator speak the words, give definitions, and use the words in sentences. You will also be able to play games that will review words for four lessons put together. Try them out!!
