ISLAND TREES MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL
To educate a child without educating and involving the parents
and entire family can be compared to heating a house
while leaving the window open.
Well, fall is here! The air is a little chillier the leaves are turning beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow. Halloween is just around the corner and the Island Trees PTSA is working to bring our families more exciting events and fundraisers. .
We are introducing the Bulldog Cookbook! Families can submit their favorite recipes and the completed book will be for sale in the spring in time for Mother’s Day. Submit your summer, fall, and Halloween recipes to us by email (emailing ensures the accuracy of the recipe) at firstname.lastname@example.org. Each family can send up to two recipes which should be placed within the body of the email (not as an attachment). If you have any questions please email us.
In November we will again have our Yankee Candle fundraiser and as well as our Scholastic book fair on November 10th which will be opened in the day and evening for shopping.
Our post prom committee is gearing up to plan another successful and exciting event for our seniors. And not only that - we are in the process of arranging for two great and informative speakers for high school students and an evening event for the parents with current topics of concern.
Additionally, we encouraged families to send in the membership application as soon as possible. High school students should be members for fours years to be eligible for scholarship awards.
We hope that you will come out to support the PTSA in the coming year. Our next meeting will be October 28th at 7:00 at the middle school library. We look forward to seeing the new faces and welcoming backs the other. If you have any questions, please email us at email@example.com and don't forget to like us on Facebook for current happenings.
