Dear Island Trees Families,
As the second half of our school year progresses we continue with our membership drive. If you haven't joined you can still do so-Carry the Card that Counts! The PTSA's goal is to enrich our lives by linking families, schools and communities for the benefit of all children and we need you to achieve it. Even if you can not devote your time we do appreciate your membership dollars.
We are working on some new and exciting events for the coming months and into the spring (aah...warmth).We will be celebrating our Reflections winners at our February PTSA meeting on the 25th. These students will be recognized for their creativity and enthusiasm for the "arts." We also congratulate all those student who participated.
We are also looking forward to receiving nominations for Founder's Day and Honorary Life awards. So, if you have a favorite teacher or a person who has helped in our community and would like to nominated them, click on the link to access the form.
In March the PTSA and the Shared Decision Committee is sponsoring a trip to a Islanders game where our 5th and 6th grade bands and chorus will perform. Tickets can be purchased now. We are also working on a new project for March which will inform the community and help families understand more about current topics relating to sports and sports safety. More information will be available soon.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting on February 25th at the middle school library at 7:00pm. And we would love to see more fifth grade parents! Please join us and bring a friend.
