Social Studies Curriculum: - History - United States to 1800
- Geography - All 50 states and capitals, climate regions, and landforms
- Civics and Government - U.S. founding documents, elections, branches of government, and civic responsibility
- Economics - Market economies, major inventions and technology, supply/demand and price, careers, and personal budget
- Society and Culture - Basic needs, communities, and the arts
Language Arts Curriculum: - Writing - In writing workshop, students work through the entire writing process to create numerous publications, use 6+1 writing traits, and study published writers
- Literature - Read various genres in reading text and novels, self-selected reading to encourage life-long reading, and focus on comprehension strategies
- English - Daily language review, Mountain Language, and grammar skills in various other ways
- Spelling and Vocabulary - Weekly words from the reading text, and high-frequency words added for spelling
Religion Curriculum: - Doctrine - The four pillars of the catechism of the Catholic Church: Creed, Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer
- Scripture - The Biblical message
- Liturgy - Weekly prayer and worship, liturgical seasons
All skills emphasize the Indiana state standards.
