Last updated Wednesday, 11/18/09. November Service Project is to bring in canned goods. In order to earn 5 points in religion for this service project you must bring in at least 10 cans. Supplies needed: Almost all students need new dry erase markers! Many are dry. We could use more wipes to use on our hands. (We have enough of the kind for the hard surfaces.) We can always use dry erase markers and small wrapped candy for prizes. Language Arts Homework: The week's topics for each class are listed below: Grammar: Review of Nouns (Plurals and Possessives) and Verbs (Action, Linking, and Helping) - HW - Grammar WB p. 37 and 39. Some students that worked with me in small groups have review workbook pages that are homework.
- Study for grammar test on Friday. A good review tool in addition to the pages we covered in our grammar books is to use the extra review pages in the back of the grammar books. The pages that cover the skills that will be tested are pages 127-131.
Spelling: Review Irregular plurals. - HW - None. Study as part of grammar test on Friday.
Reading: Literature Circles - Use strategies for better reading comprehension. - HW - Literature Circle job for the following chapters: (Due Fri.)

- Read every day for AR goals for November and fill in the pages read on your reading log.
Vocabulary: SKill Lesson 11 - Using Context Clues Writing: Fiction. Social Studies Topics: Begin Unit 2 - Worlds Meet. Chapter 4. Math Topics: Multiplication of whole numbers and decimals. - HW - None. The quizzes over multiplication of decimals was handed back. Students who scored a 33 or below MUST retake the quiz tomorrow. Other students may retake the quiz if they want to improve their grade.
