Mrs. Harper

7th Grade English

2009-2010

Class Overview:

In 7th grade, we will cover several elements of English.  This will include a broadened knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and writing.  Specifically, look for assignments based on the eight parts of speech, spelling words, and a writing project each nine weeks period.  We will also be keeping a notebook in class for warm-up activities which will be graded by taking a notebook quiz each nine weeks.  Becoming comfortable writing for a variety of audiences and purposes will be a focus for this class.  Please check my weekly updated website for a current agenda.

Honors Class Note: Please have a flash drive available for your child to use for computer lab projects.
