Find the period you are in to print out the monthly fitness logs. If you are unable to print it out please let me know and I will do it for you. However, I will not print it out the day before it is due. It is your responsibility to make up any missing runs on your own time.
Fit Points
Each class period we will do a Fitness Activity that will earn you Fit Points based on the criteria that you meet for that activity.Each class period we may have an option of two or three fitness activities that you can choose from. All fitness activities are divided by points (4 points, 3 points, 2 points, and 1 points) Your goal is to earn a minimum of 6 points a day. You do this by choosing which activities you would like to complete. Once you finish all of your fitness, bring your log to me and I will sign you off for the day.
Bonus Points
You will have a chance to earn bonus points outside of class that will be added to your total points for the month. The bonus points are divided into 3 categories: Competition(games, matches, tournaments, etc.), Practices (weekly team/individual practices), 1 hour student choice (activity you do on your own outside of school. This does not include practices or games.). All bonus point activities must be signed by a parent in order for the points to count.
Continuous Improvement
The goal is for you to continuously improve your level of fitness.Each Fitness Activity will have a different time/score requirement.Some requirements will be easy, some will be difficult.The time/score requirements start out easy and get more difficult as year goes on.You will need to take responsibility for your fitness level to keep you with the changing requirements.
Fitness Grade
At the end of each month, you will earn a fitness grade based on the total number of Fit Points you have earned when compared to the total number of Fit Points possible for that month.The total number of Fit Points will vary slightly from month to month depending on the number of days we meet in class for that particular month.
Expectations:
¶Give your best effort every day in class
¶Have a positive attitude and stay on task as you do your Fitness Activity
¶Attend a lunchtime make up workout if you are absent or have a note
¶Take responsibility for your fitness and participate in fitness activities outside of class.Strive to continuously improve!
