June 2-6th

Our last week of school...it doesn't seem possible!  We were so happy to watch the progress your child made this year!  It is incredible to see how they have grown!  Monday is our service project at the Gainey Conference Center.  Your child needs to be wearing a white shirt and shorts/pants and shoes that can get paint on them.  The Gainey Center will provide a lunch for the students.  We will be walking to J& J's for a small ice cream cone on the last day of school.  This treat is being provided for us by our room parents.  Thank you!

WE ARE MISSING MANY BOOKS FROM THE CLASSROOM!  PLEASE HELP YOUR CHILD GO THROUGH YOUR BOOKSHELVES AT HOME!

     Math: We will continue to review basic skills before the end of the year.

     Language Arts:  We will finish Tangerine  this week!  It has been such a fabulous read!  Ask your child about this wonderful book!  

     Social Studies:  We will be creating a map of Minnesota using many creative materials.  Look for them in the hallway!  We will also see how much knowledge we have gained about MN by plotting all of the things we know on a blank MN map!  I will send home the 1st one stapled to the final map!

    Spelling:  We will take our final achievement test!

     Religion: We will end the year reading "Thoughts about Life" in Ecclesiastes.

     Science: We will study different elements of Florida including, muck fires, hurricanes, and citrus crops.
