Welcome to an exciting school year! I am so excited to begin this journey into second grade with you! This year will have many highlights: Reconciliation and First Communion, Daily 5 and Cafe, Daily 4 Math, Science units, Readers' and Writers' Workshop, and SO MUCH MORE!

For some of you I am a familiar face, but to others I may be very new! Here's a little about myself: I have been teaching for 16 years! Most have been in first grade, and this year I am excited to begin 2nd grade! I first graduated from the College of St. Benedict/St. John's University. I graduated in 2009 with my Masters Degree from St. Mary's University. I have also been a Visual Phonics trainer for the state of MN. I am married to Mike, though everyone calls him "Red", and have three beautiful children who all attend school here! Julia (5th grade), Hillary (first grade), and Zachary (preschool). It is so wonderful to teach in a school and have them all here with me! In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano (I once won a contest for Lorie Line and got to name one of her albums - Now and Then!). I play golf and volleyball, and I sometimes enjoy running. I like to scrapbook when I can find the time. But I love hanging out at the pool with my family and friends. Most of all I love TEACHING!
