All about Mrs. Bastyr Greetings! I am Cheryl Bastyr. This is my eleventh year teaching second grade here at St. Mary's School. I started my teaching career in Granite Falls teaching for seven years. I then got married and moved to New Ulm. I then taught for five years in Sleepy Eye. Another move brought us to Owatonna. I subbed for many years and then began full-time teaching at St. Mary's. I am currently in a master's program throught St. Mary's University in Winona. I will graduate this May. It has been a sonderful experience. I enjoy reading, baking, and being with my family. I belong to a neighborhood book club and love "I Love Lucy." John -husband - works as a loan officer for Citizens State Bank in Hayfield. He loves to read and go bike riding. We have been married happily for 23 years. Andrew - 21 - senior at Winona State University - plans to be an elementary teacher. Loves to read and be with his family. Jacob - 18 - senior at OHS - loves to run - plans to run in college and become a PE teacher and coach for Cross Country and Track. Anna - 15 - freshman at OHS - loves to run, play in the band, sing, and be with friends.
