St. Francis School Goshen Announces University Merit Scholarship

Goshen, Kentucky (December 12, 2005)- St. Francis School announced a new merit scholarship for the children of university faculty. The scholarship, which provides a 50% tuition reduction, will be awarded to several qualified students whose parents are full-time teaching faculty at Kentuckiana Metroversity institutions or the University of Kentucky.

"We are pleased to establish this opportunity to reinforce our natural connection with the families of educators," said John Delautre, Head of St. Francis School. "The University Merit Scholarship allows us to strengthen both communities of teachers and learners.”

The deadline for applications is February 15, 2006. Forms for the scholarship can be downloaded from the St. Francis web site, www.stfrancisschool.org. Students must be entering kindergarten through eighth grade in the 2006-2007 academic year.  Recipients will be announced by March 1.

Founded in 1965, St. Francis School is an independent, non-sectarian day school for children age 2 through grade 8. Serving over 400 students on two campuses, St. Francis offers a progressive educational experience that prepares students for high school, college, and life.
