2008-2009 School year Piano lessons are offered to our students on Tuesday afternoons at the Academy of Music. As of now, there will be no lessons at the Goshen campus, however, if there is a high demand, this may change. If your child is interested in piano lessons, please contact the Academy or middle school music specialist Bob Bertke at 228-1197 ext. 216 or email at rbertke@stfrancisschool.org. Guitar lessons are also offered at the Academy of Music. Please contact the Academy to set up lessons. If you are interested in music lessons on another instrument or on a different day, The Academy of music at St. Francis continues to offer piano, vocal, guitar and violin lessons to all ages. The lessons are located at St. Francis in the Fields Church. Additionally, if you are interested in studying an instrument not offered at the Academy, please contact Bob Bertke to discuss options. All interested students and families should contact the Academy of Music's Business Manager, Eleanor Boris or Nancy Albrink, Artistic Director at 228-1157. JESSICA LITWINIEC (PIANO), a native of Calera, Alabama, holds a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Alabama where she studied piano with Amanda Penick. Under the Instruction of Daniel Boring, he studied classical guitar, as well as the lute and theorbo. Like most guitarists, Tommy has performed with a wide variety of bands and ensembles, with styles including rock, funk, blues, jazz, praise and worship, musical theater, and Irish folk music. His latest project is Small Talking Thieves, an up-and-coming band based in Lexington. Today, Tommy resides in Louisville, with his wife Katie, who teaches elementary music.
