Kim Aberle

"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."

Berthold Auerbach

Kim Aberle is excited to be back at St. Francis for her second year, teaching music to children grades JK through 3.    Kim is happy to be teaching in a school where children are allowed the freedom to learn through discovery, whether it be moving, singing or creating beautiful melodies on an instrument. Kim recently completed her Levels 1 Orff Schulwerk training at the University of Kentucky.   In her spare time she teaches piano lessons and team teaches musical theatre at the Oldham County Arts Center.

Kim holds a bachelors of Science in music education from Indiana State University and a Masters in Secondary Education from Indiana University.  Kim has had works published in music resource magazines, most recently a piece titled "Summers Leafing Us Behind".   She has served on several school and professional organization committees, including serving as President and Past President of the South-Florida Orff Chapter.

Kim is married and has two sons, Geoffrey and Harrison, who both attend St. Francis.
