Success!! The 2nd Grade field trip to hear the CSO was absolutely, positively terrific! Everyone had a great time, and the students loved getting to see all of the instruments of the orchestra and the very beautiful Symphony Center. The performance was wonderful too!

(The concert we see will be very similar to this performance happening the day after we have our trip. Some of the pieces we will hear will be from Tchaikovsky's composition of Sleeping Beauty. This ballet will actually be performed in Glen Ellyn in January.

Welcome to the music website for Mark DeLay. The students are always keeping quite busy learning about many composers, international music, different styles and genres of music, singing songs, playing instruments and even dancing.

Please check out the "Links" section of this website to find lots of interactive sites that will help your child and reinforce the concepts that are covered in class. Besides the Internet, I highly recommend taking a trip to the library to check out all sorts of great books about music, and also the many CDs that are available. There are tons of great resources and music right at your fingertips!
