El Rancho's December Newsletter announced a new project PTSA was undertaking called Family Origins. Over Winter break families were asked to spend time talking about their student(s) genealogy and to send an email listing the countries their parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents, originated? Some students may have already known this, but did they know where the country was? PTSA has displayed a 4'x8' global map in the library pinpointing each of the countries of origin together with the countries National flag. So far, El Rancho students represent over 65 countries around the world.
