BLOG! BLOG! BLOG!
We will be blogging again this quarter as it relates to Huckleberry Finn. Remember, you are required to make at least ONE post per topic.  Each topic is GRADED and the total will be recorded as a quiz grade.  For example, if there are 10 topics, you will receive 10 points (1 point per comment).

MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNUAL SPRING DANCE

(Some details have changed from previous dances.  Please read carefully.)

What:  Dancing, food, hanging out with friends

Theme:  BLACK AND WHITE

When:  May 10, 2013 from 6:30PM-9:00PM  sharp

Who:  6th -8th grade middle school students and guests*

Where: DT Activity Center

Cost:  $10 includes admission and piece of pizza and a drink

Tickets: Tickets will be sold in advance during the week of the dance (5/6-5/10). They will be sold at the door, but there are usually long lines!  Eighth grade tickets can be paid for at SMP.  See Ms. LeBlanc.

Guests:  6th and 7th graders are permitted one middle school-aged guest and 8th graders are permitted two.   ALL guests must be signed up by lunch on Fri., May 10.  Again, Ms. LeBlanc will take names at SMP.  Those not in appropriate dress or not included on guest list will not be allowed into the dance.

Dress:  Students are expected to wear dressy-casual attire.  This year, the Student Council has chosen a “black and white” theme.  Students wear any combination of black and white or all black or all white.  NO JEANS, so there’s one concession:  students may wear khaki pants if they do not have black nice pants, but shirt should be black/white.    If girls choose to wear a dress, shoulder straps should be at least as wide as the width of two fingers. (Of course, that means there are two straps.)  Skirt or dress length should be school-appropriate (not above the young lady’s fingertips when her arms rest to her sides).

Money:  Students may want to bring extra money to take pictures-$3 each for the first print and $1 each for any additional prints of the same pose. Extra pizza or drink costs $1 each.
