Our social studies curriculum is through Harcourt Brace- States and Regions. Themes we will study include: geography, civics and government, economics, culture, Kansas History, and regions. The book is a valuable tool, but we will also use many other sources to help with our learning. We will work on different projects throughout the year that are in direct correlation to the KS State Social Studies standards. Some projects include: mini-economy, culture clips, famous Kansan's reports, and regional vacation brochures! The link below takes you to online activities correlated with our textbook.
