For students entering 2nd Grade in September, 2011

Now that the children are getting better at reading independently, I would like them to choose books which are approximately 40-60 pages long and that are divided into short chapters.  You may help (read every other page to) your child if he/she would like.

 


***  Your child may choose other authors or chapter books that may be of interest beside the ones that are written on this list.  I've really only included series books.  If you and your child find other interesting, individual chapter books, feel free to choose them.
