All About Me

Hi!  I am so excited to be your child's second grade teacher!  I taught first grade for the past four years and I am so excited to be starting a new grade level this year!  I absolutely love teaching and watching your child grow. 

I received my Bachelors Degree from Stony Brook University and my Masters from Dowling College.  I also take additional classes throughout the year because I believe that there is always more to learn!  I am currently engaged in a program at Dowling to obtain a second certification in Special Education.  When I am not in the classroom, I am teaching piano lessons.  I have been teaching piano for over twelve years to children of all ages.  It is something I truly enjoy doing.  

Outside of work, I love to read, play my piano, or get outside for a good run or bike ride.  I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my two adorable and brilliant nephews!  I got married this past summer, so this is a very exciting time in my life!

There are wonderful things to learn about and explore in second grade.  I have very high expectations for all of my students, and I am looking forward to helping them develop a love for learning.  I know that we are going to have a fantastic year together!
