| Dear Parents, The last two weeks have been very busy ones. Our trip to Byler's was GREAT! We kept one pumpkin which weighed 4 lbs., measured 23 inches around, then cleaned out the pulp (yuck!) and saved the seeds. The seeds were roasted and then taste tested by our room. The verdict was, in their words, "Disgusting". To go along with our Fall Festival there is a very large pumpkin at or main entrance. The children have to guess the weight, circumference and number of seeds it contains. The winner of the contest will be announced after our Fall Fun Day. Be sure to ask your children the particulars about THE PUMPKIN! Some of the activities for the Fall Festival were an apple relay, hay bale jump, a pumpkin roll, dressing up like a scarecrow, and Hot Potato, oops, Gourd. Before I close, I want to thank the parents who volunteered their time to go on the field trip or provided treats for our class for the Fall Festival. Happy Howloween! Mrs. Papay Reminders -
