Spelling lists are handed out each Monday. The spelling lists are also located in the spelling book. Your child may take his or her spelling book home to at any time to study his or her words. Students will have twenty list words (Core words) to study for each weekly test.  Also included on the spelling list in the book are Review Words.  Students will use these review words as they complete different assignments in the workbooks. As of right now, students will not be tested on these review words. 

A practice test is part of the nightly homework each night. You can download the form below if you wish, or a piece of notebook paper is acceptable to use as well.
Practice tests are important for students. Listening for the word and then writing it down allows them to hear the word and see it written many times so it will be committed to memory.  Any incorrect words should be written three times on the back of the paper. 

Spelling tests are Friday of each week.
