Reading Tests

 September 11, 2007

We will have our first reading test on the story,
The Lost and Found this Friday, September 14.  The test will have multiple choice, matching, and a few open-ended questions.

Students may use their reading books for the test.  They should be familiar with the story and should use the book to help them with spelling or to answer a question about a particular story event. Rereading the story at home with your child and asking comprehension questions will help prepare your child for the test. For example, "What is strange about the Lost and Found bin?" Or, "How do you think the characters feel when the reach the Hat Room?"

Students should be bringing home their vocabulary notebooks each night. They should be able to match each vocabulary word to its correct definition for the test, as they will not be able to use their notebooks for the test.
