Math

We start chapter 5, subtraction this week.  This chapter will include estimating, regrouping, word problems and fact families.
We will also start learning multiplication. The 2's will be the first set of facts to learn. Students should be studying the 2's nightly. They will take a timed one minute test on Friday, November 21st.  Once they pass this test, students will get to color in a square on their multiplication chart (kept in their folders) and move on to the next set of facts.  Once the class has mastered all facts they will earn a "game day". Students will choose activities of their choice as a reward for learning their multiplication facts.

English

We have finished subjects and predicates and are moving on to common and proper nouns.
